Question: Which disciple replaced Judas Iscariot as the 12th apostle?

Answer: Matthias

Interesting Tidbit: After Judas's betrayal and death, the remaining apostles cast lots to choose between two candidates: Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) and Matthias. Matthias won the selection, but interestingly, he is never mentioned again in the New Testament after his appointment. Some theologians suggest that Paul may have been God's true choice as the 12th apostle.
