Meet Our Staff

Born August 19, 1975 and is a native of Tampa, Florida. He has held an assortment of positions while serving the Lord. He began in 2007 as Director, Van/Transportation Ministry and Associate Adult Sunday School Instructor under the direction of Pastor Hilton Wells, Rivers of Living Water Church, DeRidder LA. Pastor Smith held both positions until 2009, when the Lord called him to serve and worship at Family of Faith Worship Center, Clarksville, TN. Under the direction of Bishop Anthony Alfred, he was Ordained as a Deacon in November 2009 and held positions in the Men’s Ministry, Finance Committee, Trustee Board and Associate Adult Sunday School/Bible School Instructor. June 2010, during his deployment to Afghanistan, Pastor Smith was called by the Lord to establish a worship service for deployed Service Members and contractors. Led by the Lord’s vision, under the direction of Bishop Anthony Alfred and the direct supervision of Chaplain Dave Beavers, Pastor Smith established the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Pasab Gospel Ministry (Church of the Living Spirit/Living Spirit Ministries), Kandahar, Afghanistan. The FOB Pasab Gospel Ministry was instrumental in providing weekly Sunday service to over 50 members as well as establishing daily devotionals, counseling and prayer sessions in support of its members and fellow military Christian services/ministries.

Pastor Smith returned home in April 2011 and was subsequently licensed as a Minster under the hand of Bishop Anthony Alfred. In August 2011, Pastor Smith was again led by the Lord and moved to Fayetteville, NC where he was guided to Embrace Hope International Church, Hope Mills, NC. Under the leadership and direction of Pastor Elder Julius Davis, the former Minister Smith was ordained as Elder on February 24, 2013. Pastor Smith continued to minister the Lord’s Word through faith, hope, love and deed. Throughout his time at Embrace he assisted with instructing and ministering as well as continued to produce daily devotionals for the uplifting of God’s kingdom and His kingdom. In January 2022, Pastor Smith re-established Living Spirit Ministries through the physical and spiritual planting of the ministry in Fayetteville, NC. Pastor (Elder) Smith holds degrees in Theology (Th.D.), Ministry (D.Min.; M.Min.), Management (M.S.) and Psychology (B.A.). Pastor (Elder) Smith is married to the former Talicia L. Edwards and has two children, Kaelyn and Nichelle.
